Officers arrested a suspect accused of firing a handgun at five people in front of a home in the Houston Moore area Friday night.
According to the Wilmington Police Department, police responded to the Houston Moore area in reference to a male suspect shooting a gun around 8:10 p.m.
Witnesses told officers that a suspect threatened several people sitting on the porch of a home in the 1300 block of Greenfield Street, and then walked to the corner of South 13th Street and fired two rounds from a handgun at the victims.
The suspect then ran away.
After a brief investigation, police arrested Michael Miller, 22, and charged him with five counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, communicating threats and discharging a firearm in a reckless manner.
There were no injuries or any property damage resulting from the incident.
