CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WECT) - The price of Freeman Park passes jumped up once again after Carolina Beach leaders voted in favor of recommendations presented by the Freeman Park Committee.
Beachgoers will now have to shell out $30 per vehicle for daily passes. The council also voted to eliminate multi-day passes and create a new rate for holiday weekends of $50 per vehicle a day.
Annual access passes will increase to $150, and early-bird discounted passes will jump $75. In the past, discounted passes could be purchased between Dec. 1 and Dec. 31 for $60, but that window has tightened to only allow purchases between Dec. 1 and Dec. 15 at the new higher price.
