According to North Carolina State Highway Patrol officials, one person was killed in a single vehicle accident in Supply Wednesday morning.
Officials say Austin Rowell, 19, was traveling down Empire Road in Supply around 7:30 a.m. when he ran off the right side of the road, over-corrected twice, hit a ditch and overturned his truck.
Emergency personnel responded to the accident scene and performed CPR on Rowell on the way to the hospital. Rowell was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
Officials say Rowell was leaving his home after helping his brother and sister onto their school bus.
There's no indication that drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash. Rowell was wearing his seatbelt, officials say.
