WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

The USL PRO Disciplinary Committee has handed down further suspensions to Hammerhead players Andrae Campbell and player/assistant coach Matt Glaeser following Saturday night's altercation between the Wilmington Hammerheads and the Orange County Blues FC.

The league has suspended both Campbell and Glaeser for three games for their parts in the incident against the Orange County.

Both players missed Sunday's game against the LA Galaxy which will count towards their three games. They will also miss the Hammerheads home games, Thursday against Orlando, and Saturday against Sacramento.

Campbell's suspension comes after receiving a red card in the final minutes against Orange County. Campbell had to be physically held back, before being taken off the field.

Glaeser, who wasn't playing at the time, kicked the game ball into the field of play prior to a Orange County corner kick.

"Like all of the players on the field they are super competitive, and things took a turn for the worse. A little pushing in the box and maybe a bad decision, yes a bad decision from one of our back up players created a bad situation. It's nothing either of our Clubs are proud of, and we have worked on it, addressed it, and are moving forward" said Hammerheads FC General Manager Jason Arnold.

The Hammerheads will not be docked points for the incident. Currently the team is tied for 8th place in the USL Pro standings. The top eight teams advance to the playoffs.
