Wilmington police have arrested a man accused of attacking someone with a baseball bat and stabbing them in their home early Sunday morning.
The victim, Elvis Romero, told police he was woken up when someone entered his home on South Eighth Street shouting, "give me your money" around 2:30 a.m.
Romero said he may have recognized the suspect as a homeless man with freckles and blonde hair.
Romero was hit in the head with the bat and also stabbed in the leg. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police arrested and charged 20-year-old Bryce Meinert Monday in connection to the armed robbery and assault.
He is being held on a $150,000 bond.
