Victim identified in deadly Fayetteville home invasion

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, NC (WECT) -

Cumberland County Sheriff's Homicide Detectives have released the identity of a man, who was shot to death in a home invasion on the 300 block of Brooklyn Circle early Saturday morning in Fayetteville.

According to a press release from the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, 23-year old Theodore Horton, who is homeless, was identified by Sheriff's latent technicians through fingerprints and tattoo markings.

His body will be sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Raleigh.

Authorities say nobody else was injured during the home invasion.

The incident is still under investigation.
