BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) -

Detectives with the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office have arrested a man in connection to a stolen truck found burned in a wooded area last week.

Jesse Lynn Williams, 27, was arrested Wednesday afternoon in Leland.

Williams was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen goods or property and burning personal property.

Officials said the truck was stolen sometime between 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and 6:30 a.m. Wednesday from a logging crew deck on Town Creek Road.

The stolen 1996, Ford F-350 was found Sunday afternoon, burned in a wooded area off of Lewis Swamp Road in Leland.

He was booked into the Brunswick County Detention Facility under a $25,000 bond.
