Defensive end Desmond Bryant might miss the Cleveland Browns season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The former East Bladen standout had surgery Monday for a wrist injury. After Tuesday's practice Browns Head Mike Pettine told the media there is no timetable for his return, but said he won't be placed on the injured reserve.
Bryant missed the final four games of last season after undergoing surgery to correct an irregular heartbeat.
The 6-foot-6, 310-pound Bryant signed a five-year, $34 million contract with the Browns last year after spending the previous four seasons with the Oakland Raiders.
