WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -
The Browncoat Pub and Theatre is performing the play Closer for one more weekend.
The show, written by Patrick Marber, centers around two men and two women as they interact, fall in love with one another and betray each other.
It's a drama with some heavy themes of truth and love versus lust, but there is also some romantic comedy.
"There's definitely some tenderness in the show," director Aaron Willings said. "There are some very sweet moments and some very cute moments as well."
The drama and comedy are wrapped together in a way that will make the audience think.
"It raises a lot of questions, and it's just isolated in four people but it covers a broad range of human experience," Willings said. "People are going to walk away with a lot of self-reflection. There are going to be a lot of questions that they're going to have especially about themselves, and they're going to relate to a lot of these experiences."
