Housing officers found a stolen gun and marijuana during a traffic stop in the Hillcrest area just before 11:30 Tuesday night.
According to the Wilmington Police Department, housing officers were patrolling the Hillcrest area at 13th and Kidder Streets when they saw a vehicle run a stop light at 10th and Dawson Streets.
Officers pulled the vehicle over and discovered a stolen pistol, from Pender County, in Carey Cobbs' (passenger) back pocket. He was arrested for an outstanding warrant and carrying a concealed stolen weapon.
The driver, Daquan Brunson, 19, was released on a citation for simple possession of marijuana and driving during revocation.
Officers seized the firearm and 12 grams of marijuana.
