Crews respond to reported gas leak at Coastal Middle School

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Crews responded to a reported gas leak at Coastal Middle School on Whitemarsh Island Friday morning. 

Construction crews struck the line while working on Friday morning.

School officials say students were diverted to Islands High School while Southside Fire and Atlanta Gas crews assessed the scene.

Officials have since given the all clear and students have returned to class and are operating on their normal schedules.
