Former Bladen Co. superintendent pleaded guilty to felony charge

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) -

Gregory Alan Killingsworth, former Bladen County Schools superintendent, pleaded guilty to a felony charge in Bladen County Superior Court Wednesday morning.

Killingsworth was charged with obtaining property by false pretense after an investigation by the SBI in 2011. Killingsworth will be sentenced on August 25.

Killingsworth retired suddenly as Bladen County Schools superintendent on October 12, 2010. Killingsworth held the position for nearly 18 months.
