3 juveniles charged after allegedly throwing rocks at cars in East Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Three juveniles are now facing felony charges for allegedly throwing rocks at cars in East Nashville.

The three suspects were taken into custody on Wednesday night.

They are accused of throwing rocks off the Ellington Parkway overpass in Nashville onto Douglas Avenue on Tuesday night.

At least eight vehicles were damaged, leaving dents and broken windows.

"There was a couple, I think they said they were from New York and they were on vacation here, and their vehicle was one of the ones that got the windshield busted in it. I told them don't judge our beautiful city by that because this is a great place," said Jeannie Summers, whose car was damaged by rocks.

Thanks to witnesses, police were able to track the suspects down.

A city bus and a utility truck were also hit by the rocks.
