Police: Man stabbed girlfriend in the head multiple times

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police say a woman was stabbed several times in the head by a man she was dating, at a home in Inglewood.

According to the police, the two got into an argument at a home near the intersection of Dickerson Pike and Alhambra Circle.

The man allegedly jumped on top of the victim, pulled out a knife and began stabbing her over and over.

A friend of the victim ended up rescuing her.

Police found the victim's boyfriend down the street, determined he was responsible and charged him with aggravated assault.

The woman was treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
