Post 10 eliminated from State Tournament

LEXINGTON, NC (WECT) -

The Wilmington Post 10 American Legion Baseball team came up short in its effort to win three state tournaments in a row, losing to Shelby 4-2 Monday.

The loss eliminates the Wilmington team from this year's tournament.

On Sunday, Wilmington came from behind to beat Davidson County 7-to-4 to stay alive in the tourney. Davidson County jumped out to a 4-1 lead after three innings, but couldn't hold back the Wilmington offense.
