1 killed, 1 critical in weekend motorcycle accident

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) -

NC Highway Patrol Troopers are investigating a deadly accident involving a motorcycle in Brunswick County.

According to Highway Patrol Trooper Ransom, Ralph Gallagher III died from his injuries and James Robertson is in critical condition at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

The crash happened Sunday afternoon on Highway 17 South in Winnabow near the I-140 interchange.

Brunswick County Emergency officials said the victims were taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center with life threatening injuries.

The accident is still under investigation.
