WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

A new exhibit opened up at the Wabi Sabi Warehouse in downtown Wilmington Friday evening.

It's called "Man Uncovered" and it's all about the nude male body.

Artists submitted pieces from all over the country for the exhibit.

Organizers said this collection was popular when it was arranged in 2006 so they decided to bring it back.

"Look at what is accepted in the culture and one of the things that has been totally accepted in the culture is the fact that women's bodies can go anywhere, naked women's bodies are okay anywhere. The taboo around male genitalia is what we wanted to explore," explained Wabi Sabi Studio Manager Gina Gambony.

The exhibit will be up at the Wabi Sabi Warehouse until the end of August.
