A man was taken to the hospital after being repeatedly punched and hit with his bicycle by two suspects in the 1000 block of Fox Grove Court Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Wilmington Police Department, the victim said he was riding a bike around 3:50 p.m. when a black male suspect with dreads grabbed the bike and forced him off.
The victim then said that a second suspect started punching him, and then picked up the bicycle and hit him in the head three or four times with it.
The second suspect then took the victim's money, credit cards and shoes before fleeing the scene.
Officers have identified Kevin Lemar Scott as a suspect for the assault.
When officers arrived they noted that the victim had several head injuries and facial lacerations. The victim was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center to be treated for his injuries.
The victim told officers that he had lost consciousness at some point during the incident.
