Teen, 6-month-old missing from NC, may be in Myrtle Beach

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, NC (WBTV) -

A North Carolina teenager and her six-month-old daughter are missing and deputies believe they may be in Myrtle Beach with the baby's father.

According to the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office, 19-year-old Kaitlyn Nicole Williams was last seen on Friday night by her mother. When she left, she was supposed to be going to a friend's house to head to the beach.

Investigators say she never made it.

Williams' car was found in the parking lot of Walmart in Mayodan after her mom got a text message from Kaitlyn's phone saying the car was there.

Investigators say the vehicle has been there since Sunday evening and a vehicle matching the description of her infant child's father was seen there, as well.

A man was seen unloading items from Williams's car into his own, investigators say.

Deputies say the teen and baby could be with 22-year-old Wesley Blake Dillon in a 1999 Silver Honda Civic. They could be headed towards, or in, Myrtle Beach, SC.

"Kaitlyn's mother is concerned about the well-being of both her daughter Kaitlyn and her granddaughter," deputies say.

Anyone who sees Kaitlyn, Wesley or their daughter is asked to call the their local law enforcement agency, the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office at 336-634-3232 or Rockingham County Crime Stoppers at 336-349-9683.
