Detectives with the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office have charged at least one man in connection to an armed robbery at an ATM on North College Road in 2014.

According to arrest warrants, Jamarcus Mykel Damon, 19, of Wilmington, was charged Tuesday with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Damon was already in jail following a December arrest on an unrelated gun charge.

According to Lt. Jerry Brewer with the sheriff's office, detectives matched Damon's fingerprint following last month's arrest.

Deputies responded to 2307 North College Road on the night July 23, 2014 after receiving reports of an armed robbery.

According to officials, two victims were at a Cashpoints ATM when they were approached by two men.

The suspects pulled a gun on the victims and demanded money. They were able to take an undisclosed amount of cash and the victims' cell phones.

The suspects left the scene on foot.

Brewer says detectives haven't arrested the second suspect yet, and the investigation is ongoing.
