Residents in a Broadway, N.C., neighborhood woke up Sunday morning to Ku Klux Klan recruitment fliers on their property, according to the Harnett Dispatch.
Some residents in the Tingen Pointe subdivision noticed re-sealable storage bags containing the fliers and a small stone lying on their driveways late Saturday night.
The fliers had a message from the Loyal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, as well as a website address and phone number with a Guilford County area code.
The group's website insists that it is not a "hate group," rather it hates "things [that] go against God's law and ... are destroying all white nations." The website further lists "drugs, homosexuality, abortion and race-mixing" as going "against God's law."
"Our goal is to help restore America to a White Christian nation founded on God's word. This does not mean that we want to see anything bad happen to the darker races, we simply want to live separate from them," the website reads.
Playing in the background of the site is the song "We Will Never Give In" by British white supremacist Ian Stuart with the lyrics, "The message to our enemies, with their treacherous beliefs: Our ideals are stronger, and your deaths will be your release."
Residents contacted the Harnett County Sheriff's Office and deputies went out to Broadway to investigate. Broadway straddles the line between Lee County and Harnett County.
"I am just saddened by the hate that some people have in their hearts," one resident told the Harnett Dispatch.
