A couple of Brunswick County business women are making wedding dreams come true for military couples in North Carolina. Operation Marry Me Military gives service members their dream wedding completely free.
According to organization founder, Alecia Davis Geddings, she wanted find a way to give back to military families.
"They are the very reason why we have this freedom," Geddings said. "It's only right that we give back to them for what they've given to us."
Operation Marry Me Military started in 2011 in Brunswick County and spread to Mecklinburg, New Hanover, and Craven Counties. The organization has helped 20 couples across North Carolina walk down the aisle.
"To see the bride's face and the groom and share the experience with them, it's just an honor," said Seaside Wedding Connection wedding planner Wendy Hilliard.
Businesses donate their goods and services to couples selected by an application process.
The weddings are held on Veteran's Day each year and the organization is currently accepting applications. To apply click here: http://bit.ly/1qBZunz
