LELAND, NC (WECT) -

Officers with the Leland Police Department have charged four people for felony larceny as the result of a three month investigation.

According to police, Kenneth Russ, William West, Thomas Jones, and Daniel Barnes were charged with 70 counts of felony larceny from a permitted construction site.

Police said the men are accused of breaking into 23 houses under construction in addition to several other construction sites. They are also accused of stealing property and materials from the Brunswick Forest Development.
