WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

A man police called "one of the worst offenders in the Wilmington area" was released from jail July 4 and was charged again the same day.

Rashawn Hines was in jail to serve time for violating probation when he missed curfew and for running away from a homicide crime scene after hiding.

According to warrants, Hines was charged July 4 with two counts of attempted first degree murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of conspiracy to commit murder. Hines is currently in the New Hanover County Jail under a $230,000 secured bond.

The charges stem from the shootings of both Darryl Dawud Terry and Tymir Wigfall.

Terry was shot in the leg on June 20, 2013. Terry was also questioned in the shooting death of Jeffery Henry, 17, who was found dead June 20 in front of a home on South Sixth Street. According to warrants, Hines conspired with Henry to kill Terry.

Hines is also charged in connection to the attempted first degree murder of Tymir Wigfall. Wigfall was charged in December after leading police on a brief chase.
