WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

Wilmington Police have released surveillance photos of a suspect who robbed the Family Dollar on Market Street on Tuesday, July 3.

According to officials, the suspect entered the Family Dollar at 1013 Market Street shortly before 10 p.m. and spoke to a cashier for 90 minutes. 

When the cashier was checking out a customer, the suspect reached into the open cash register and pointed a gun at the employee.

The suspect grabbed an unspecified amount of cash and took off towards Dock Street.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5'11", 175 pounds with black and curly shoulder length hair. The suspect was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans at the time of the incident.
