WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

Kids from all over the Port City played "Battlefield Live" Saturday afternoon at Battleship Park.

According to organizers, the game is the first of its kind in North Carolina. Battlefield Live is similar to laser tag but is all outdoors. It uses specific technology to send laser beams from player to player.

"The best part was running around shooting the people and getting shot, getting to reload, it was all great," said participant Byron Whittington. "It's one of the best birthdays I've had.

Battlefield Live will be out Saturday, July 12, at the Battleship Park.
