A lot of people are watching the radar as Tropical Storm Arthur is brewing in the Atlantic.

Many towns have special celebrations and firework displays scheduled over the next few days in honor of the Fourth of July holiday and some are postponing the fun.

The Town of Surf City has decided to postpone the fireworks originally scheduled for Thursday in anticipation of the storm. Now, Surf City will host the firework display August 29, the Friday before Labor Day.

Carolina Beach has also cancelled it's quadruple fireworks display originally scheduled for July 3. The town will double up on four additional shows for the remainder of the season, including Labor Day. Stay tuned for notification of the Boardwalk Blast Music being rescheduled.
