WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

Two Wilmington residents are facing multiple heroin-related charges after they were arrested by New Hanover County officials following a three month investigation.

The investigation began after several citizen complaints about heroin being sold from 1812 Orange Street. Detectives executed a search warrant at the residence and found 267 wax bags of heroin, syringes, numerous prescription medications, and a small amount of marijuana. Two juveniles were also present during the raid.

Freddie Taylor III and Michelle Gilliam were arrested and both charged with trafficking heroin, possession with intent to sell/deliver heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and two counts of child abuse.

Taylor's bond was set at $250,000 and Gilliam's was set at $100,000. Social Services also opened an investigation involving the juveniles.
