Police say two victims were robbed at gunpoint around 11:15 Sunday night near an apartment complex off Darlington Avenue in Wilmington.

According to police, a man and a woman were walking home near Frog Pond Place when they were approached by two men.

Police said one of the men pointed a gun at them, demanded a purse and told the victims to walk away and not look back.

The victim's called 911 when they reached their apartment, but officers couldn't find a suspect when they arrived.

Both suspects were described as black males with shaved heads and slim builds and wearing shorts and knee socks. One suspect was wearing a red t-shirt, while the other was wearing a white t-shirt.

There were no injuries to either victim resulting from this incident.

Shortly after midnight, two people who had spoken with police about the armed robbery were also held up at gun point. According to police, the two men were walking home along Darlington Avenue when they were approached by a man with a gun, asking for a cigarette.

The victims looked at the man with the gun and said he was crazy for trying to rob them with the cops just a block away, and then the suspect ran away.

The men notified officers about what happened, but the suspect was not located.
