Clarksville Police discovered skeletal remains in a wooded area Saturday morning, according to officer Natalie Hall.
Officers responded to a call at 11:13 a.m. on Power Street after witnesses had called dispatch, Hall said. The scene is located between a flea market and a truck lot. Hall said crews found the remains in a ditch in a clearing.
Hall said investigators believe they've found the skeletal remains of a human, but gender, age and race are unknown at this time.
Homicide detectives visited the scene Saturday but had left the area as of 8:15 p.m. Hall could not say whether the remains had been moved from the site. Patrol officers will remain on Power Street to guard the scene, according to Hall.
