Connor Shaw back in the Palmetto State

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

Former USC quarterback Connor Shaw is back home.

He spent the past two months in Ohio working out with the Cleveland Browns.

On Friday, Shaw signed autographs to benefit Children's Chance charity.

Shaw gets a one month break before he has to report back to training camp to try to make the roster as a free agent.

Shaw goes about his business in a quiet way both on and off the field.

That's quite a contrast with the Browns' other rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel.

The 2012 Heisman Trophy winner is known for his flashy playing style and his party all the time personal life.

Shaw said Johnny Football is a good teammate as they help each other learn the Browns playbook.

"You know, we've developed a pretty good relationship," Shaw said. "I'm glad we both came in as rookies… It's just good for us to play together and just push each other with the learning curve. He's good. He's better than what most people make him out to be."
