FRIDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers and thunderstorms continuing into the evening and overnight. Lows will be in low 70's.
WEEKEND: Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are likely Saturday. Localized areas could see several inches of rain. Storms will also contain lots of cloud to ground lightning strikes. Sunday will feature a 40% chance of scattered t-storms. Behind a front highs fall into the mid and upper 80's with a wind shift to the east. Lows will be in the low 70's.
MONDAY AND TUESDAY: Mostly to partly sunny and seasonably hot. Highs will be near 90. Lows will be in the low 70's. Rain chance is low ~ 10%-20%.
WEDNESDAY TO JULY 4TH: Better chances of isolated or scattered afternoon showers and t-storms courtesy of a more active piedmont trough and late in the week thanks to an approaching cool front. Wednesday and Thursday will be hot and humid with highs mainly in the mid 90's. Heat index values will be near 100. Highs fall to about 90 Friday. Expect muggy lows in the mid 70's.
TROPICS: Tropical storm formation is not anticipated though Saturday. A low pressure system near the South Carolina coast will be monitored for possible slow development next week.
