Suspects drive up on curb, take victim's cash and phone

An armed robbery on N. 30th Street took place just after 4 a.m. Thursday. An armed robbery on N. 30th Street took place just after 4 a.m. Thursday.
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

Officers responded to the Creekwood apartments in reference to an armed robbery just after 4 a.m. Thursday.

According to the Wilmington Police Department, the victim was walking North on 30th Street when a white Acura pulled up and hit the curb next to him.

As the victim asked the suspects if they were alright, he noticed the front passenger had a gun in his lap.

The front passenger demanded that the victim hand them his phone and wallet.

The suspects took the victim's phone and emptied all of the cash out of the wallet, then left the scene.

The suspects were described as black males with dreads.

There is no report of any injury to the victim.
