More information has been released in Tuesday's kidnapping incident involving a woman taken at gunpoint from a Northwest Ark. store.
Sevier County investigators say 37-year-old Ardwin F. Sylvester of Van Buren, Ark. kidnapped a woman from a Fort Smith, Ark. Staples Tuesday at 11 a.m. Sylvester came up behind her while she was getting into her car and forced her into his vehicle.
The woman was able to escape around 2:30 p.m. at an Ashdown E-Z Mart when the suspect stopped to get gas. Investigators say as another vehicle approached, she was able to get out of Sylvester's vehicle and run into the store. That's where she had the clerk on duty to call 911.
