3 arrested on drug selling charges

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) -

Tips for residents in the community helped investigators with the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office arrest three men on various charges.

Tommy Lanier, 55, Timothy Allen Brooks, 18, and Jeffrey Alexander Norman, 28, were arrested during the month of June by the BCSO Vice-Narcotics Unit.

Officials found 340 grams of marijuana as Lanier's Shallotte home on June 6. He was charged with the following:

  • Possession With Intent to Manufacture Sell Deliver (PWIMSD) marijuana
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Brooks was arrested June 19 after officials found cocaine, marijuana, prescription pills, and a stolen handgun. Brooks was charged with the following:

  • PWIMSD cocaine
  • PWIMSD marijuana
  • PWIMSD Scheduled III controlled substance (hydrocodone)
  • PWIMSD Scheduled IV controlled substance (alprazolam)
  • Manufacturing marijuana
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of a stolen handgun

Norman was arrested on June 20. He was charged with the following:

  • PWISD marijuana
  • Sell Deliver marijuana

Brunswick County Sheriff's Office would like to encourage anyone who suspects drug  activity in their community to contact the Drug Unit at 910-754-DRUG910-754-DRUG(3784)
