Family-friendly new restaurant in Oregons Willamette Valley demonstrates support of bicycle-related tourism and welcomes guests arriving by bike.

Dayton, Oregon (PRWEB) June 23, 2014

The Barlow Room Restaurant and Bar is honored to announce their recognition in Travel Oregons Bike Friendly Business program. Travel Oregons statewide Bike Friendly Business program is the first of its kind in the nation.

As part of their commitment to serving visitors who ride bikes, The Barlow Room provides several amenities that cyclists may need, including high-carbohydrate menu items, food and drink options incorporating local ingredients, complimentary drinking water and Wi-Fi. Several popular Yamhill Valley bike trails, including the Abbey Road Route and the Dayton to Grand Island Loop, are at the doorstep of The Barlow Room as they wind in and around Downtown Dayton.

We know that every year more and more people are interested in exploring wine country by bike, says Executive Chef/Owner Christopher Czarnecki. We want to welcome guests arriving by bike to enjoy a convenient, comfortable dining experience here in the heart of Oregons Willamette Valley wine country.

The Barlow Room, located on a historic block across the street from Dayton's Courthouse Square Park near the junction with SE Dayton-Salem Highway 221, features exposed brick walls, historic photos, and giant picture-window views of the park. Featuring a mix of new materials and vintage finds, The Barlow Room is a family-friendly space with a historic sensibility, vintage-inspired light fixtures, and freshly painted interior and exterior.

The restaurant offers a mix of dining options, including artisanal wood tables, cozy banquet seating, an antique communal table, and comfortable leather-seated wooden booths. A handsome, 1920s mahogany bar faces the dining room creating an inviting setting to enjoy a cocktail like the Dayton Tea, a cold beer or cider on draught, or one of the food-friendly wines (20+ by the bottle, 17+ by the glass).
