NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) -

Investigators with the New Hanover County Fire Department are working to determine what started a house fire Saturday night.

Firefighters were called around 10:30 p.m. to respond to a home in the 4600 block of Barnards Landing Road, near Silva Terra Drive off of Carolina Beach Road.

Flames were coming out of the home when firefighters arrived.

According to Ray Griswold with the Fire Marshal's Office, people were inside the house when the fire started, but everyone was able to safely get outside.

Griswold said the fire was contained to one bedroom at the attic.
