FAYETTEVILLE, NC (WECT) -

North Carolina authorities have arrested a Fayetteville man for sharing child pornography on the Internet.

Jose Lamont McCall, 38, is in custody and charged with five counts of second degree sexual exploitation of a child and five counts of third degree sexual exploitation of a child.

An undercover investigation by the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office and the North Carolina Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began in March of 2014 after agents got a tip about illegal videos being distributed via the internet.

Agents traced the origin of the crime to a home in Fayetteville that McCall was living in at the time.

Officials executed a search warrant and confiscated computer equipment. Forensic examination uncovered hundreds of child porn videos.

McCall is currently being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $125,000 secured bond.
