WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

The Longest Ride is looking for dancers and a country band for a scene that will be filmed soon in the Wilmington area.

According to Marty Siu Casting, there is a specific need for line and swing dancers.

It is unclear when the extras are needed for the scene, but the post mentioned anyone applying should be local to the Wilmington area.

All country bands, line dancers and swing dancers interested should email extrasTLR@gmail.com ASAP, labeling your subject title with the part you are applying for. Be sure to attach your photo and contact info. If you're a band, attach a link to a performance.

The Longest Ride is based on a novel written by Nicholas Sparks. The novel follows the love story of cowboy Luke Collins and Sophia Danko, college senior from Wake Forest who is recovering from a break up.

Sparks said the inspiration for the story came from Black Mountain College in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.

The film is expected to hit theaters in April 2015.

This is the latest Sparks film to be shot in southeastern North Carolina. In 2012, Safe Haven, starring Julianne Hough and Josh Duhamel, was filmed in Southport and Wilmington. A Walk to Remember also filmed scenes in Southport.
