Friends, family worried for missing Chesterfield mom

Family and friends say they are worried over the disappearance of a young Chesterfield mom. Police are calling her disappearance suspicious.

Zulma Pabon was first reported missing when she didn't show up to work on Monday, but she hasn't been seen since Friday.

Chesterfield police wouldn't say whether they expect foul play or not.

Friend Cassi Crenshaw says she fears the worst but is hoping for the best.

"It's an empty feeling, I just feel empty," she said. "She's very outgoing, she's very kindhearted, the sweetest person, that I've ever met."

Crenshaw says the outgoing Pabon, 26, met her quiet doctor boyfriend at Sheltering Arms in Chesterfield before she left to work at a Bon Secours facility.

According to a Bon Secours spokeswoman, Pabon works on the St. Francis Medical Center campus in Midlothian as a practice supervisor at Commonwealth Fertility. She was last seen leaving the office, last Friday evening.

Chesterfield police said a co-worker reported her missing when she didn't show up for work on Monday, which is unlike her.

Crenshaw says it's also strange that the loving mom didn't take her young son with her. "It doesn't make sense at all that she would leave him behind."

Police said the child is with his father at the home he and Pabon share. No one answered at the home today.

According to police, there have been no reports of domestic violence, no signs of distress.

Pabon's car is also missing. It's a four-door, 2009 white Nissan Altima with the license plate number JZN-1429.

Anyone with information about Pabon's whereabouts should contact the Chesterfield County Police Department at 804-748-1251 or Crime Solvers at 804-748-0660.
