Officials in Bladen County have lifted a voluntary water conservation effort in Elizabethtown as there is no longer a water shortage.
Phase one of the water conservation plan was put into place in June when the town had 20 percent less water than normal.
The water shortage was the result of a pump that broke down in September.
Residents were asked during that time to avoid washing cars or watering plants.
Now, the town is back at capacity, and according to the town manager, the need for water conservation has been lifted.
