New Details: Man dies after leaving former State Senator R.C. Soles' law office
Berry Scott died after being taken from the office of R.C. Soles in an ambulance.
TABOR CITY, NC (WECT) -
A man died Thursday after being taken away in an ambulance from R.C. Soles' law office in Tabor City.
Soles' secretary said Stacey Scott and Berry Scott were in the
former senator's office for 30-45 minutes when Berry, 47, started
complaining of chest pains and breathing problems, according
to a police report.
When police arrived around 4:30 p.m., Berry was lying motionless in the waiting
Rescue crews performed CPR on the scene. Scott was pronounced dead
at a hospital in Loris, SC, according to the Columbus County Coroner Linwood
Cartrette. Cartrette said Berry died from natural causes associated with
sickness and preexisting health problems.
