A couple in Cumberland County were arrested after deputies uncovered a meth lab near the Sampson County line.
According to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to respond Sunday night to a suspicious person call.
Authorities found a plastic tub with liquid Drano, Heet, lithium batteries, salt, a propane canister, and two HCL generators when they responded to the area.
Stephen James Autry, 22, and his wife Ashlee Alisabeth Autry, 28, were both charged with possession of an immediate precursor to the manufacturing of meth and intent to manufacture a controlled substance and conspiracy.
According to the sheriff's office, Stephen Autry was also charged for previous crimes with larceny and possession of stolen goods, forgery of instrument, uttering a forged instrument, obtaining property by false pretenses and felony larceny by employee.
The sheriff's office also said Ashlee Autry had a past warrant for her arrest on charges of obtaining property by false pretenses.
