BUFFALO, NY (WECT) - SUNY Buffalo State has a new leader in its future, but it will not be UNC Wilmington Chancellor Gary Miller.
Late Friday afternoon, State University of New York Chancellor Nancy Zimpher announced that she will recommend Dr. Katherine Conway-Turner to be the next president of that university.
University spokesperson Janine Iamunno confirms that Miller withdrew his name for consideration for that position earlier this week for personal reasons. Miller is still a finalist for the chancellor position at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. He should learn by Monday if he is chosen for that position among the five finalists.
Miller has also been a finalist in recent weeks for the top job at Youngstown State.
