A former office administrator with Wilmington Plastic Surgery has been arrested and charged with five counts of embezzlement and forgery.
Guy Williams managed the plastic surgery office since 2007.
WECT has learned from sources close to the investigation that Williams is accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from the medical practice.
Warrants confirm Williams stole nearly $400,000 and forged a check for $200,000 with a doctor's name.
He was dismissed two months ago.
Doctors with Wilmington Plastic Surgery would not comment on the arrest Thursday night.
But Williams' attorney, Edwin West III, did release a statement.
"Guy is saddened that this matter has taken this turn, but he is optimistic that once it all unfolds the truth will come out. Until that time, it is important that people keep an open mind. He is deeply moved by the support of his family and friends."
Williams faced a judge Friday for two counts of embezzling more than or equal to $100,000, two counts of embezzlement, and one count of forgery of endorsement.
