First Alert Forecast: More t-storms through Friday, great weekend weather

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A slow moving front will keep the pattern unsettled through Friday over southeast North Carolina.  Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are likely, especially in the afternoon and evening.  Cooler and mostly dry for the weekend!  Details now…

THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY: Expect variable clouds and scattered showers and thunderstorms. Rain chance: 40 to 50%. Storm hazards: downpours and lightning primarily with isolated wind and hail issues possible. Daily highs: mainly 80s. Winds: light and southwest Thursday, light and variable Friday. Expect lows in the mid to upper 60's. 

WEEKEND HIGHLIGHTS: Lookin' pretty good! Expect partly cloudy skies Saturday and full sunshine on Sunday. Rain chances will have trended down to near 20% for Saturday and to near 0% Sunday. Temperatures will reach mainly the lower 80s for daytime highs and fall to mainly the upper 50's and lower 60s for nighttime lows.  Great sleeping weather! 

NEXT WEEK: Plenty of sunshine with only a small rain chance by mid week.  Highs warm from the low 80's Monday to the low 90's by midweek. Humidity levels will be on the rise too.
