A locally-filmed movie starring former Wilmington resident Linda Lavin is available on iTunes.
A Short History of Decay, starring Lavin, Bryan Greenberg and Harris Yulin, is an independent film about a man who takes on the role of caregiver for his parents. It was shot in Wrightsville Beach in 2012.
In the movie, Lavin plays mother who is in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease. She called Wilmington home for decades until moving last year to New York.

The film also stars Benjamin King, Emmanuelle Chriqui and Kathleen Rose Perkins. Wilmington-based actors Henry Bazemore, Jr., Myke Holmes, Barbara Weetman and Anthony Reynolds also landed roles in the film.
