Representatives from the Historic Wilmington Foundation gathered in front of the Murchison Building in downtown Wilmington Wednesday morning to make a special announcement.
George Edwards, Executive Director of the Historic Wilmington Foundation, announced that the Murchison Building at 201 N Front St, Wilmington, NC had been deemed 'saved' by the foundation. In a release, the foundation cites the building's recent sale as reasoning behind it's new label.
Edwards also announced the foundation's annual list of Most Threatened Historic Places.
The list includes places around the Cape Fear Region that the foundation deems at-risk of being destroyed.
This year's list includes the John Bellamy Carriage House in downtown Wilmington and the Ewing-Bordeaux Cottage in Wrightsville Beach.
