NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) -

A man just arrested for robbing a bank in Burgaw has now been arrested in connection to an armed robbery at a gas station in Castle Hayne.

Jordan Laif Carroll was arrested by New Hanover County Sheriff's Detectives in connection to the armed robbery of the Kangaroo Express located at 5717 Castle Hayne Road. Officials told WECT the night the crime happened, May 26, that a suspect robbed the store around 3 a.m. Deputies said a man, now identified as Carroll, walked up to the clerk, showed a long gun, and demanded the cash at the business.

New Hanover County Sheriff's officials said Carroll is connected to robbing the Kangaroo Express twice during the month of May.

He is currently in the Pender County Detention Facility under a $191,500 secure bond for two counts of felony armed robbery.
