WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Senior catcher Andrew Farber and junior designated hitter Corey Dick were named to the Colonial Athletic Association Baseball championship All-Tournament team on Saturday following the championship game at Brooks Field.
Faber hit an even .500 for the tournament, going 7-for-14 in four games. The senior catcher opened the tournament with a career-high tying four-hit game as UNCW rallied past James Madison, 11-10. Farber scored three runs and knocked in two that game.
Dick led the Seahawks with six runs batted in while hitting .357 (5-for-14). He homered and drove in three runs in a UNCW loss to eventual champion College of Charleston. Dick lifted the Seahawks to a 5-3 win over Delaware in an elimination game by driving in the eventual game-winning runs with a single in the eighth inning.
The College of Charleston won the tournament and the league's automatic berth to the NCAA tournament with a 6-4 win over regular season champion and top-seeded William & Mary.
